In Connecticut, the NHHS corridor needs two parallel track corridors between Newington and Berlin to enable Amtrak and NHHS to stop in New Britain.  Freight track upgrades from New Britain to Waterbury will allow for secondary train service to operate between Hartford and Waterbury.
